天津美术学院副教授；天津市美术家协会会员；多件作品入选国际、国内专业性展览，在“国际纤维艺术双年展”中曾获得铜奖1次、优秀奖数次，且受邀参加“中国当代纤维艺术世界巡展”，曾参加在巴西、波兰、哥伦比亚、厄瓜多尔、韩国等国家的巡展。多篇论文发表在国内重要期刊和国际理论研讨会论文集中，数篇曾获得优秀奖。出版有《中国当代造型艺术家——刘娜纤维艺术作品集》《匠心∙纤手——当代纤维艺术形态的转变》。
