王雷，2010年毕业于中央美术学院造型学院实验艺术系，获艺术硕士学位。系中国美术家协会会员、中国雕塑学会会员、中国纺织工程学会时装艺术专业委员会副主任、河南省文联第八届委员会委员。现为浙江师范大学“双龙学者”特聘教授，硕士生导师、美术学系主任。曾在中国美术馆、河南省美术馆、81美术馆等单位举办个展8次，自2007至2020年参加国内外学术联展180余次，其中国家级展览30余次（5件作品入选第12、13届全国美展）。曾获第二届“中国美术奖·创作奖·铜奖”等奖项。作品《文化中国》被国家艺术基金创作扶持，《寻找红五星》、《新长征路上的凯歌》被中国文学艺术发展专项基金扶持。作品被中国美术馆、南京博物院、澳大利亚白兔美术馆等20余家单位及中（大陆、港、台）、美、英、德、意、西、澳、韩、瑞士、新加坡等10余个国家私人收藏。

Wang Lei is professor and Chair of the Fine Arts Department at Zhejiang Normal University in China.  He has held eight solo exhibitions including National Art Museum of China, Henan Art Museum, Eight One Art Museum and others.  From 2007 to 2020, he has participated in more than one hundred seventy academic group exhibitions nationally and internationally.  His works were selected for the 12th and 13th National Exhibition of Fine Art in China and won Bronze Award of the 2nd "Chinese Art Award, Creation Award”.  His projects,Culture China was Supported by China National Arts Fund as well as Looking for Red Five Star and Triumphant Song on the New Long March projects were supported by China Literature and Art Foundation.  Wang Lei’s artworks are collected by many Chinese museums and galleries including National Art Museum of China, Nanjing Museum,White Rabbit Collection and so on more than 20 units andChina (mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan), the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Korea, Switzerland, Singapore and so on more than 10 countries private collection.

作品以《辞海》书中的内容部分，经过繁琐的编织过程，借鉴自然界生物某一部位，如：尾、鳞片等形式语言，并留下书壳部分，有“金蝉脱壳”之意。民谚云：“春雷响，万物长”。作品使用了拟人化手法在文化的角度上进行了一次新生命的嬗变。

The work is based on the text of Cihai, drawing lessons from a part of the natural creature, such as tail, scale and other forms of language. After a tedious weaving process, the book shell part is left, which has the meaning of "ciccican peel off its shell". As a popular saying goes, "All things grow when spring thunder rings." The work uses anthropomorphic techniques to transmute a new life from the perspective of culture.
