The work “Dissolve” by Chinese artist Lyu Yue (Aluna) adopts abandoned masks as the primary material. It shows her wearing masks to visit museums and bookstores with stamps and written words on masks as the life routine, and the process of cutting into pieces of the masks-composed clothe. The scattered pieces on the ground indicates the vanishment and dissolution of the virus, and there would be no more masks in need. The video finally framed at the stamp in her name and in correlation with the stamps at the most of public and cultural spaces. Chinese has the tradition to use stamps in replacement of signature, and a private stamp represents an individual. It means to tell that no one could get away from the pandemic and each one has the responsibility to fight against it.
