杨大伟出生于中国香港。从英国诺桑比亚大学时尚专业毕业后，他担任设计从业人员，而在97年之后，他从事了设计教育工作，并成为了时装设计专业的课程负责人。他曾在香港，英国，美国土耳其和中国教授时装。

他曾是中国北京服装学院国际预科艺术与设计课程的课程负责人。在2016年至2018年之间，他担任中央美术学院国际预科艺术與设计工作室主任。此外，他还被英国Edexcel任命为兼职国际外部审查员，以维持4至7级艺术和设计课程的质量保证。最近，他被英国南安普敦大学聘请为时尚教学员，与大连工业大学合作教授学生。

有关学术成就，他于2010年9月在香港发布了他的第一本时尚参考书“ Fashion is Cool”《时装有品》。该书由清华大学出版社修订并在中国发行。他的第二本参考书“ Fashion is Luxe”《时尚有价》于2016年发行，清华大学也出版了。他还参加了许多学术演讲和展览等。

David YEUNG was born in Hong Kong. After graduation from Northumbria University, UK majoring in fashion, he worked as a design practitioner and after 97 he worked in design education and had become a program leader in fashion design in Hong Kong. He has taught fashion in Hong Kong, UK, USA Turkey and China. 

He was Course Leader in an international art and design program at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology in China. Between 2016 – 2018, he was Head of Studio at China Central Academy of Fine Arts. Besides, he was also appointed by Edexcel, UK as a part time international external examiner to maintain quality assurance of art and design program level 4 – 7. Lately, he was fashion teaching fellow hired by University of Southampton, UK to collaborate with Dalian Polytechnic University, China.  

Regarding academic achievements, he launched his first fashion reference book ‘Fashion is Cool’ 《时装有品》 in Sept 2010, Hong Kong. The book was revised by Tsinghua University Press and launched in China. His second reference book ‘Fashion is Luxe’ 《时尚有价》was launched in 2016 and was published by Tsinghua too. Also he has continuously participated in a lot of scholarly presentations and exhibitions.
